SANDY LUNDEE
CORPUS CHRISTI OFFICE

Sandy was raised in Portland, Texas (a small community just north of Corpus Christi) where she enjoyed the beach, camping, and sailing. Her appreciation for the outdoors led her to pursue a degree in plant production. She received a B.S. in Agriculture/Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University where she specialized in plant science with general studies including row crop production, soil and water conservation, nursery production, entomology and pathology. Sandy spent about 20 years in the Houston area and now resides southwest of Corpus Christi. She enjoys nature, travel (anywhere!), gardening, reading and cooking.

The majority of her career has been devoted to plant propagation and Outdoor Education/Recreation. She has held positions with Texas Parks and Wildlife as a Landscape Specialist, as an Operations Manager, and as an Environmental Education Specialist for Harris County Parks and Conservation Programs. She has supervised nursery stock and tree production, recreational planning, interpretation programs, landscape design programs, native plant and wildlife conservation, and community events. Her duties required a Pesticide Applicator's License from TDA and SPCB, an Irrigators license, a CDL, and certification as a Texas Certified Nurseryman. Field work often included operation of tractors and heavy equipment - a nice change from office duties! Her production and operations experience contribute to a good understanding of the diverse skills required of today's farmer.

Sandy joined the Southwest Agribusiness Consulting staff in 2005 after returning to Corpus Christi. She works closely with our Coastal Bend clients and communicates with producers on a daily basis to insure that accurate information is available for each individual marketing plan. A good deal of her time is spent acting as a liaison between merchants and producers and by coordinating contracts and deliveries. Sandy participates in the Northwest Business Association, and volunteers with the Nueces County Extension Service. She enjoys getting to know producers personally, learning about each unique farm operation, and helping to facilitate the best marketing plan available.
