AMY SLOMCHINSKI
CALDWELL OFFICE

Amy was born and raised on a south Texas family farm in Leming, Texas that has produced peanuts, corn, cotton, small grains and cattle for over 100 years. Growing up, Amy enjoyed numerous outdoor activities including; 4-H, FFA, show animal projects, and sports. She graduated from Pleasanton High School in 2005 and attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. In the fall of 2006, Amy transferred to Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. The summer of 2008, Amy attended the `Ecole Superieure D`Agriculture (ESA) college in Angers, France. Through the study abroad program, she had the opportunity to study international agricultural systems and policy, and visit local agribusinesses and food processing facilities in the Region. May 2009, Amy graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics.

During her college years, Amy gained knowledge through a variety of work experiences. She worked for a small Accounting firm in 2006, keeping books for clients and learning how to prepare income tax return forms. She also had the opportunity to work for the Agrilife Extension Service through Texas A&M University. With the Agrilife Extension Service, Amy recruited students for the France summer 2009 study abroad program and prepared information packets for the TEPAP program. The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers (TEPAP) is a program designed to advise producers how to succeed in their businesses.

Amy joined the Southwest Agribusiness Consulting, Inc. in March 2010. She assists consultants and clients by conveying the agricultural futures and options markets, and helps maintain their commodity hedge positions. If you have any questions for Amy, she can be reached at:
